Season Pass Fees

* Additional $50.00 fee for each child 18 years or younger living in the household.
NOTE: All discounted fees are rounded up to the nearest dollar.
RESTRICTED SENIOR PASS: Mon-Fri all day and holidays and weekends after 4pm.
Season Passes are only valid March, 15 2010 - November, 30 2010.

Junior/Senior Age Policy

Discounts are available for the following golf season pass:

• Junior – Age 18 or under.
• Junior College Student – Age 23 and under.  Full time student with a minimum of 12 credit hours.
• Senior – Age 62 or over.

Persons turning 62 on or after January 1st of the year that the golf season pass is purchased for are eligible for the senior discount.

Persons turning 19 or 24 (if college student) on or after January 1st of the year that the golf season pass is purchased for are ineligible for the junior discount.

• Identification will be required.  College students must have student I.D.
• A 10% discount will be offered on annual season pass purchased between November, 14 2009 and January 15, 2010 only.
• A $1.00 fee will be charged per day of play (weekend and weekday)

Private Golf Car Fees/Rules

ELECTRIC CART    $460.00 PER YEAR
GAS CART             $350.00 PER YEAR
TRAIL ON CART     $310.00 PER YEAR

1. RULES
   
   1. All Private Carts
      
      1. Private golf car storage is available to golf car owners who are currently on our golf storage list.  Management will assign golf care locations for the owners to store their carts March 1st of the current year or thereafter.
      2. Once payment is made in full and insurance is provided golf cars may be trailed on prior to March 1st of the current year.
      3. No new storage space or trail on rights will be available to anyone other than owners on current paid list which is filed at the Park Office.
      4. Golf car owners must provide and maintain their own charges for electric cars.
      5. Golf car owners are responsible for all maintenance, repairs, insurance, damages, and fuel.
      6. Stored car owners may convert to a trail on status at any time providing that they remain on the current paid list, however, no paid storage fees will be refunded.
      7. City employees will make no repairs to private golf cars on city property, nor will tools be loaned out for the maintenance of privately owned golf cars.
      8. Private car use is limited to owner and immediate families household only.
      9. Users must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
      10. Golf car owners must obey all rules and regulations as requested by golf managers and rangers, or risk loss of privileges.
      11. Effective the beginning of the winter season, which is at the sole discretion of the golf course management, stored golf car owners may be asked to remove their cars due to bad weather and for management to facilitate the storage of the North Course city owned cars.  Owners may trail their cars on after that day.  There is no winter private golf car storage available, effective December 1, 1989.
      
      
2. INSURANCE
   
   

   A.  All private golf car owners must present written proof of certified insurance (i.e. form number ACORD 25-S) of public liability insurance for the entire golf season, (minimum coverage of $250,000.00) and medical (minimum coverage of $1,000.00) to the Park Department Office each year prior to February 17, 2009.

3. RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION
   
   

   The undersigned Owner for himself or herself and for his or her heirs, personal representatives, successors and assigns and all parties claiming by, through or under any of the foregoing, including, without limitation, any riders on the Owner’s private golf car (collectively, the "Releasors"), for and in consideration of the use or storage of a private golf car on the Michigan City Golf Course and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, does hereby fully release, and forever discharge the City of Michigan City, the Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department and their respective elected and appointed officials, directors, agents and employees (individually and collectively “Releasees”) of and from any and all causes of action, claims, damages, losses, medical expenses and liabilities of every kind and character whatsoever for personal injury or property damage (including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees and expenses) that the Releasors may have by reason of any matter, cause or thing relating to or arising out of, or in any way connected with or resulting from the undersigned’s use of Owner’s private golf car on the Michigan City Golf Course or the presence or storage of the Owner’s private golf car at the Michigan City Golf Course (collectively the "Released Claims").

   Releasors hereby release, indemnify, protect, defend and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all Released Claims (including, without limitation, attorneys' fees and expenses), in connection with injuries to any persons or damage to or theft or misappropriation or loss of property involving the use of the Owner’s private golf car on the Michigan City Golf Course or arising from the presence or storage of Owner’s private golf car at the Michigan City Golf Course, or due to any other act or omission of the Owner or a rider on the Owner’s private golf car. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing herein shall be deemed to exempt Releasees from liability or damages for injury to persons or damage to property caused by or resulting from the negli­gence or willful misconduct of the Releasees.

   Releasors hereby waive and agree not to bring, or assist in bringing, any claim, action, cause of action, or proceeding regarding or in any way related to any of the Released Claims, and further agrees that this  Release is, will constitute, and may be pleaded as, a bar to any such claim, action, cause of action or proceeding. The undersigned Owner hereby represents that he or she is not suffering from any legal disability and is competent to execute and deliver this  fee agreement.

Weekend and Holiday Tee Time Policy

1. On weekends and holidays it is mandatory to schedule a tee time.
2. To reserve a tee time from May 1, 2010 through September 5, 2010 for tee times prior to 2:00 p.m., a credit card must be used.  Note: we will begin taking credit card tee times April 23, 2010 for tee times May 1st.
3. A golfer can reserve up to 4 tee times.  Season pass holders and Michigan City Residents may reserve tee times up to 7 days in advance.  Non-residents may reserve tee times up to 7 days in advance.  Note:  Residents must have a resident card.
4. Failure to show will result in fees charged to the credit card as shown on the chart.  For purposes of the chart it is mandatory to have 4 golfers per tee time.  However, we do allow for one or two no-shows in the three or four tee time category.
5. To avoid charges a golfer who has reserved tee times can call the pro shop 48 hours in advance of their tee time and cancel by presenting the credit card number used to reserve the original tee time.
6. These charges will not apply to inclement weather or course closing.  The golf course staff will make all determinations as to what is considered inclement weather.
7. Tee times can be reserved through the pro shop staff on a best effort, first come first served basis.
