The Michigan City Senior Center offers people age 55 and older annual memberships for $7.00. This membership entitles you to free delivery of our monthly newsletter, reduced prices on our special Senior Center happenings, and a reduced fee on a parking pass into Washington Park.
The Michigan City Senior Center is the only Michigan City site for the Seniors Health Insurance Program (SHIIP), with trained volunteer counselors that can help you through the confusion of Medicare (parts A and B), Medicaid, Medigap, long-term care insurance, COBRA, Social Security, prescription drugs, and more. This free, unbiased service is sponsored by the Indiana Department of Insurance to help older consumers get the information they need to make the most intelligent decision about their health coverage.
