The 35-acre Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa entertainment destination in Michigan City, Indiana includes a full service casino with 65,000 square feet on one level, a 102,000 square foot pavilion with five restaurants, an entertainment lounge, a spa, gift shop, two hotel towers with a total of 486 rooms and the Stardust Event Center for conventions, meetings and special events.

Blue Chip Casino

Construction of the new vessel, which has the largest casino boat hull size in the country as inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard, was completed in January 2006. The Blue Chip vessel is the only Indiana casino to be built on site. A special 27 million-gallon expansion of Trail Creek in Michigan City provided a channel that is 1,200 feet long, 250 feet wide and 16 feet deep.

Measuring 402 feet long, 208 feet wide and 85 feet high, the vessel can carry more than 6,000 guests and crew members.

Blue Chip Casino, Hotel and Spa operates year round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Admission is free and guests entering the casino must be 21 years old.

The Blue Chip casino offers more than 65,000 square feet of gaming space on one level. The casino features 1,940 slot machines with denominations from one penny to $100, 48 table games, and an eight-table poker room.

A four-story, 950-space parking structure was completed in 2005, bringing the total parking capacity to about 3,000.

The Pavilion

The 102,000 square foot pavilion includes about 8,000 square feet of meeting and convention space including two ballrooms, which can accommodate up to 250 and 350 people respectively.

Options Buffet, a 333-seat restaurant featuring more than 150 items, including soups, salads, entrees, side dishes and desserts. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 7 am to 10 pm; Friday and Saturday, 7 am - 11pm.

William B's Steakhouse, an elegant and comfortable 120-seat restaurant serving the finest steaks, seafood and other delicious specialties.

Nelson's Deli, a casual 68-seat diner serving piled-high sandwiches and salads. Nelson's is open 24 hours a day.

It's Vegas Baby!, a 152-seat restaurant offering American classics and a specialty drink selection that includes Las Vegas favorites. The restaurant is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm.; starting at 10 pm, the restaurant features entertainment. Wednesday through Saturday, entertainment runs from 10 pm to 2 am; on Sunday, the hours are 5 pm to 1 am, with entertainment from 6 pm to 10 pm. The Game, which seats 116, serves up a delicious game-day menu and an unrivaled array of sports viewing options and energetic servers in sports-themed uniforms. The Game is open seven days a week; Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Rocks Lounge is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and features free live entertainment Friday from 6 pm to 3 am; Saturday from noon to 3 am and Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm.

The Gift Box, offering newspapers, magazines, health and beauty items, as well as a wide-ranging selection of souvenirs, casual wear and gift items. The shop is open from Sunday through Thursday, 7 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday, 7 am to 11 pm.

It's Vegas Baby! store features Las Vegas memorabilia and photos, men's and women's logoed apparel. The store is open Monday and Tuesday from 10:45 am to 9:15 pm and Wednesday through Sunday from 10:45 am to 11:15 pm.

Blue Chip Hotel and Spa Blu Tower

The Blue Chip Hotel, connected to the pavilion of Blue Chip Casino via an enclosed walkway, opened in 2000 and features 184 spacious and tastefully decorated rooms including 4 grand suites, 8 luxury suites.

All rooms include a 25" television with remote control, voice mail, clock radio, coffee maker, and hairdryer. There are handicapped-accessible rooms, nonsmoking and smoking rooms.

Amenities include an enclosed parking garage, indoor swimming pool, two whirlpools and a fully equipped fitness center.

The 22-story Spa Blu Tower, completed in January 2009, has 302 rooms.
One of the tallest structures in Northwest Indiana, the tower evokes nearby Lake Michigan with a curtain wall of aluminum and varying shades of blue vision glass.

Guest rooms include 272 rooms and 30 suites, and feature floor-to-ceiling windows and rich millwork in bold contemporary styling with soft cream and white organic textures and finishes.

Among the amenities are headboard-embedded reading lights, pillowtop mattresses, bright-white signature bedding, flat-screen TVs, AV connectivity panels and high-speed Internet access.

At the new 10,000-square-foot spa blu - the first casino-based spa in the greater Chicago area -- guests can enliven their spirits with health and beauty treatments customized for rejuvenation and relaxation. Among the nine treatment rooms are two rooms for facials, a wet treatment room, four single massage rooms and treatment rooms for couples. A full-service salon for men and women offers hair, manicure, pedicure and makeup services with a private makeover room that is used for wedding parties and other groups. Before and after the services, guests can relax in individual men's and women's lounges with steam rooms, experiential showers and whirlpools highlighted with water walls. The fitness room at spa blu includes 10 weight-training stations, as well as treadmills, bikes and elliptical machines.

Massage and body treatment prices start at $55. spa blu is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
and Sunday from 8 am - 4 pm. The spa blu fitness center is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm.

Stardust Event Center

A highlight of the two-year Blue Chip expansion project is the Stardust Event Center, a 20,000 square foot multi-function facility that can accommodate business events, such as meetings, conventions and trade shows, as well as stage productions, concerts, boat and vehicle exhibitions, weddings and other special events. The centerpiece of the Stardust Event Center is a 15,000-square-foot main ballroom capable of seating up to 1,300 people for live performances.

For maximum flexibility, the ballroom can be split into six breakout rooms, which, along with four other meeting rooms at the center, range in size from 850 to 2,750 square feet.
