City Kids Day Camp - 2023

Children ages 6 through 11, who have completed kindergarten, can celebrate summer in beautiful Michigan City at City Kids Day Camp.  This 8 week camp offers an exciting schedule that promises unique summertime adventures for your child. A vision to help the youth in Michigan City grow is the goal! Values, friendships, learning, and teamwork will guarantee tons of great summertime memories.  Breakfast and lunch are provided with your $55 weekly fee.

The program is limited to 65 participants on a first-come first-serve basis. Pre-registration is required, which will take place at the Park Office starting March 16, 2023 Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm. 

$55 / week per participant   

$30 / week for MCAS Summer School Students (Half-Day)

CAMP DATES & TIMES:  June 5 through July 28 (no camp on June 19th or July 4th)

Camp Dates and Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm

   PAYABLE by proceeding Wednesday of each camp week

Youth Baseball

For players ages 4-16.

For T-Ball : Cost is $35 per participant with discounts for multiple immediate family members only playing in the same age division.

For Baseball : Cost is $55 per participant with discounts for multiple immediate family members only playing in the same age division.  Games are played weekly at Patriot Park, Gardena Park and Trail Creek from May - July. Girls Softball

For players ages 9-15.

Cost is $55 per participant with discounts for multiple immediate family members only.

Players of all skill level are welcome.

Junior Golf Program

School’s out and it’s time to get outside and play. The week long Junior Golf Camp is held each year in June at the Michigan City Municipal Golf Course.  Kids will learn to love the game of golf in a fun and positive environment. This camp focuses on the building blocks of a proper golf swing and teaches golf etiquette.  Kids compete in daily skills challenges and scoring events.  The camp ends with a Junior Golf Tournament and pizza party.

Piranhas Swim Club

Piranha’s is a swim club sponsored by the Michigan City Park Department.

Soccer in the Sand

Soccer in the Sand is an organization that brings a nationwide series event to Washington Park each year. There are youth, adult and coed divisions. Games will be include 4 players on each team plus goalkeepers (5 on 5). Games will consist of three 11 minute periods with 2 minute breaks. All teams will be guaranteed 3 bracket games with the opportunity to advance to the semi-finals and finals. Minimum roster count is 5 and maximum is 11.
